ELEVEN (11) POSTS – CSG 13,

Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable,

Salary Scale: Ksh. 22,270 – Ksh. 30, 020 P.M,

Basic Salary: Ksh. 22,270P.M,

House Allowance – Depending on duty station,

Leave Allowance – as existing in the Civil/Service,

Commuter Allowance – Ksh. 4,000 per Month,

Medical Cover – as provided by the Government,

Annual Leave – 30 working days per financial year,

Qualifications

  • Certificate in any of the following fields, Laboratory Science, Laboratory Technology

OR

  • Certificate in Occupational/Proficiency Test Certificate Grade III/II/I in Civil Engineering for Geological Laboratories from a recognized institution.

Responsibilities

This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the supervision and guidance of a more senior and experienced officer. Duties and responsibilities at this level include: –

  • preparing geological and construction samples;
  • drying, crushing and preserving samples for testing and cleaning of work area and equipment
  • assisting in field and sampling investigation.
